  1. No, if it were proven it would be a law, laws take proven and can be reproduced every time.  So at this point, it's a theory.

  2. Some gases ("greenhouse gases") let sunlight in, which warms the Earth, and then block that heat from leaving. That's the "greenhouse effect", and it's a natural thing, mostly caused by water vapor.  Without it the Earth would be very cold.

Man is making excessive amounts of greenhouse gases, mostly by burning fossil fuels. That causes the delicate natural balance to go out of whack and the Earth warms. That's global warming.  It threatens to cause serious coastal flooding and damage to agriculture.

Lots of numerical scientific data proving it real here:

  3. Absolutely not, emmissions from combustion engines cause the build up of greenhouse gasses. These gasses are not unatural; however the amounts in the atmosphere are higher than natural. What the problem is not so much global warming but the impending Ice Age that will follow, this about to happen sooner than people realize. Once the glacier that  covers most of  Greenland melts into the Atlantic Ocean (check news web site for more info) this is happening as we speak. This will start a chain reaction that will effectively shut down the flow of warm water from the Gulf of Mexico to the northern part of the Atlantic. This will start a chain reaction that will cause the winter in the northern hemisphere to become longer each year until seasonal changes in the weather all but stop and the norther hemisphere become covered in ice and snow (possibly for thousands of years) this change can take place in as little as a decade.

  4. No ,it is not a theory, it is a fact...The greenhouse effect is the rise in temperature that the Earth experiences because certain gases in the atmosphere (water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane, for example) trap energy from the sun. Without these gases, heat would escape back into space and Earth’s average temperature would be about 60ºF colder. Because of how they warm our world, these gases are referred to as greenhouse gases.

  5. If you're refering to the drivel Al Gore spews out it's a theory, and a bad one.

There is the greenhouse effect. Without it we couldn't survive. Water vapor and other gasses help keep the temperature on earth stable.

  6. The greenhouse effect is not a theory do you know about the greenhouse gases that block the atmosphere and the ozone hole layer. Well the greenhouse effect is when the sunlight

lights earth so ultraviolet rays can't go back into space at night as more greenhouse gases stay in the atmosphere

the infrared rays and ultraviolet rays stay in the atmosphere

and that's one of the reasons for global warming.
