Is the heart rate supposed to be higher or lower for a baby girl or boy?

so my ultrasound tech couldn't get my baby to cooperate to see the gender but the heart rate was 150 and i forgot which way that thing goes I'm just wondering i wan to see if there is any truth to it when i go back in october

it is supposedly only a "wives tale" - but the story goes that 147 and up is a girl, and below 147 is a boy. It was true for me! My little one's heart rate is 148 and she's a girl.

A girl is High, a Boy is Low!! I think you are having a girl, that is what my little baby heart rate was on Tuesday!! Good Luck

Girls are supposed to have higher heart rates and while it was true for me, I know a lot of women it wasn't true for. Good luck! :)

according to my grandmother a higher heartrate means a girl is certain to come. however i am having a boy and he has a high heart rate.

over 140 is girl below 139 is boy

First of all... remember this is just an old wives tale.

Anything above 150bpm is a girl, and under 150bpm is a boy

it is a myth but it is suppose to be higher for a girl.  but my baby boy has a high heart rate so it didnt hold true for me.

Well most of the people who answer will tell you that that is just a myth, but I believe it to be true!  I guess because it's been true for everybody I know, including myself.  My best friend's baby's heartbeat was 171 and she's having a girl.  My sister's baby's heartbeat was 138- she's having a boy.  I went yesterday and the baby's heartbeat was 166- I'm having a girl!!  So by the heartrate of your baby, looks like a girl!  You will have to let us know how it turns out!  =)

well i dont know if there is any truth in it or not but with my little boy it was always 150-152 and now that i am 37 weeks it is around 140 cause i am getting closer good luck

My son's heartbeat in utero was always 155-160. It's just a wive's tale. hardly ever accurate. Though, mother's intuition is almost always right. So I'd go with your gut feeling before going with the HB thing.
