Is the high-back style of booster seat better than the booster seat with no back?

  1. In my experience, yes the one with the high back is better.  My 4 year old still falls alseep in the car.  With the low booster he falls to one side or the other.  The high back booster still has the sides that come out by their head and gives them a place to rest their heads.  Comfort for them use the high back.


  2. I am a fan of the ones with the back.  The seat belt hits the child in the right spot and gives better support.  Most come now where the back can come off when the child gets old enough...

  3. for smaller children yes.  But I find it's easier to get the 5 - 8 crowd to sit in the backless version.

  6. I personally like the one with no back, but one pro to having the one with the back is that they usually have guides for the seatbelt to make sure it is at the right height for the child.

  7. highback they can use at 30lbs.  no back you have to be 40lbs
