  1. Go knock on the door and look in the window.

  2. That kind of information is not posted publically online. It would only invite trouble.

  3. No there is not.  You can find out the owner in county records.

  4. Hand deliver a letter - hoping that someone will answer the door, but if they don't you are at least making contact.  Look on line at your county assessors web page to see who ownes the house - it may be a rental and the owner may want to get rid of the car if it has been abandoned (but there are proceedures for this too - you can't just take it and expect to get title to it).

  5. Try the courthouse.  Land ownership IS a matter of public record.  I don't know exactly which section you would need to ask for like title search, surveying, property taxes or what, but a clerk can tell you.  Does it have electric?  You could call the electric company with the address, tell them you are interested and would like a history of the average bill.  They will usually tell you if the power is connected and what the bill usually runs, but no personal information if the account is active.  Good luck!

  6. You have a couple of options. One is to try the white pages online. You can do a "backwards" search in which you enter the address and it shows any telephone number that's registered there. Another is to search tax records to see who owns the property and what the owner's address is. If it's an absentee owner, you can send a letter to his home address with your proposal.

    Good luck.
