Question:

Is the idea that women are so easily to manipulate and influence the reason women don't respect 'nice guys'?

..That women realize that they are easily to manipulate and influence and IF a guy doesn't step up and exploit that in her and other women (nice guy) that usually indicates he is likely not enough man to elevate her- socially, emotionally, financially..whatever. ?

Do women generally feel that confident guys, knowledgable guys, know from experience and common intuition that women are very readily influenced and directed by men-- and therefore a guy playing the 'nice guy' role is likely relegated to this only because he does not have the same tools a confident "A-man" should have?

Is this the simplicity of women's thinking?

  1. If you were nice then you wouldn't say women are easily manipulated, so if you are not getting a lot of action it's not because you are nice because you are far from nice, look deeper into yourself and discover what is wrong with you!

  2. Nice women like nice guys.  Quit hanging around trash.  Confident and knowledgeable men can be nice guys too...I married one.

  3. "Nice" is generally a code word for "boring". That's all.

GENUINELY nice guys... as in, guys who treat their girlfriends well, but also know how to have a good time and aren't doormats, do very well with the girls in my experience. The only ones who have trouble, really, are the milquetoast mama's boys who blame their problems on being "too nice", when really they are just too dull.

Edit: re: your edit - if you're so convinced that you know the answer to your question, then why are you asking it? Yes. it IS because "nice guys" are not much fun. At least, the kind of "nice guy" that tends to lose out when it comes to dating. Not all women enjoy being controlled.

  4. ARGH!  Not the "nice guy" question again!  Run away!  Run away!

Women DO respect nice guys.  They just don't respect guys who feel the need to advertise that they're nice.

  5. lol, w/o reading the details I say, yes! I was in a bad relationship were I was young n naive, very impressionable. This guy did a lot of damage but I'm healed today. That experience definitley makes me extra cautious of "nice guys". Although I see that there really are some genuinely good people in this world who dont want to hurt or take advantage of me....

  6. Why do feel the need to manipulate women?

  7. that maybe be one reason, but there are more and better reasons than that. actually this question made me laugh all the women i deal with are tough as. i also find this ironic as i fit into the nice guy catagory yet im one of the best manipulators youll ever meet.

  8. I wouldn't say we are easily manipulated. I would love to find a nice guy - preferably a cowboy, but they don't seem to exist anymore. I have two ex-husbands to prove that. It seems that in the dating stage the man is a true gentleman - someone we would be proud to have around all the time, but once the ring goes on the finger, the man begins to change. I'm sure the woman does to.

To tell you the truth - if I had at least half of what my parents have - I'd be the happiest person around. I just want to be loved, respected, and treated as an equal. I hate all the games that are being played today.

  9. Nice guys = boredom and women want entertainment. It's as simple as that.

  10. YEP!!!

  11. And the age of these kids is???

    1. They are very young.

    2. There aren't that many of them compared to the psychologically healthy controls.

These guys get dumped in the end when the girls grow up and they don't keep pace.  You can identify them by their receding hairlines and swollen beer bellies.  They're flock animals and you will see them perched on stools at one end of the bar - misery loves company.

  12. ever notice how nice guys don't want nice girls? Why? Because like the nice guys, nice girls are...that's right, ugly.
