Is the inside of your mouth 98.6 degrees?

normally, in degree celcius, it is the normal body temperature

which is 37 degrees celcius (or 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit) and may vary a degree or two

unless you are sick, it is higher

under your tongue it's supposed to be. everywhere else is a bit cooler, unless you've been drinking something hot.

Certainly not my mouth.  My normal body temperature is 97.6.

And the whole temperature scale is based on a guy who's temperature was 100.
