  1. Corrupt?? don't know about that, They have their hands tied, they got the passport that said Jan 1st 1992 (coincidence??? LOL) but what do they do, China could have made that girl 40 and there isn't a whole lot they can do when the Chinese gov. controls everything.  Are thy doing enough, no.

  2. If you don't have faith in the IOC which comprises officials from all over the world to do their jobs, don't participate in the Olympics.

Quit being a sore loser. If you can't stand losing, don't LOSE! Better luck in London next time.

Edit: Some people have lost perspective on the notion of 'innocent until proven guilty.' Saying someone is underage just by looking at them is like accusing someone of being a criminal because he has a crooked mustache. Is it correct to accuse Phelps of being fast because of new undetectable U.S. designer drugs?

  3. Corrupt...no.  I agree with Darnel, their hands are tied.  The Chinese government could have made up any documents it wanted to say the girl is 16 years old.  Unless they have actual witnesses saying the documents are fake or her Mom comes forward...not much they can do.  I will say they need to come up with a better system for judging gymnastics though.  It was obvious from the scores that some were inexperienced in what to look for, etc.  Any Olympic judge should have to go through a certification process to ensure their qualifications.

  4. No; do not just comment on IOC hard works. Documentary proof is there to prove it and that is what people usually asked for.

You can.t just accuse someone with your belief.

She said she is 16 and see you in Peking

She shall be 20 when we meet in London.

    Facts sure..

  5. we can not expect much from the country where gov can tell + control people what to do, where to go, etc...

You could even see how empty stadiums were, They even had to go to the trouble of instructing Chinese citizens to fill some of the empty seats. then the government claimed to have sold out all tickets.

There was also some controversy to the amount of rough play (e.g. the Chinese men's soccer game against Belgium, in which a ton of players were booked), and incessant booing of other countries; especially Japan and Korea.

I'm fairly certain that London will be able to stage a much more civilized and more well-deserved Olympics in 2012. Good luck to you London!

  6. To the person above me, I don't think you are right.  They spoke to a British woman on the news who paid thousands to get a seat at the olympics, so I don't think they had to force people to go.

As for the Olympic committee being corrupt, I'm sure there is some corruption there, but I think the whole of the Olympics is corrupt.
