The new iphone is awesome.  Probably the coolest native app right now is the NES emulator that lets you play all the old NES games like Super Mario Bros. Not to mention the built in WIFI. I use one site for my iphone questions.

consider why you need the iPhone 3G. The only true features you gain over your current iPhone is GPS, ability to access faster network speeds (Not available everywhere! If 3G is isnt rolled out in your area it will be the same speed as your current iphone when surfing the internet and downloading email attachments) and better battery life. The software you see on the iPhone 3G will be the same that you will have at the end of this month on your current iPhone. So consider if these features are worth an extra $146.33 per feature to you.
