Is the kawasaki vulcan 900 custom a good cruiser?

I just recently purchased a yamaha r1 a few days ago and I love it, but sometimes I just want to cruise.

It is an awesome cruiser. I nearly bought one earlier this year, but finances fell through.

It has good get up and go, good handling and it is good on gas. It probably is the best 800-900CC class cruiser out there

I've been looking at them with a friend who's interested.  They look pretty good and the price is more than reasonable, but I've always hated the depreciation on a Japanese bike...I'm traditionally a Kawasaki fan.  You'll find that the insurance rates are much nicer on a Cruiser!

It certainly should be a great cruiser for all but cross country. I was not pleased once with the sale of a Kawasaki 750 cruiser. This bike was a beauty but for the owner never did perform. She complained that it was simply gutless and with out performance. Later she traded it in for a different bike. A mechanic told me it was probably running to lean but we never had opportunity to find out.

So in theory the 900 ought to be the cats meow yet time will tell. I hope it works for you.
