I found a 91 x2 for $1000 obo, and I was wondering if it is a reliable ski. Also, how gas consuming is it compared to other, newer jet skis? Thanks. Any other information is appreciated.

  1. I bought my '89 X2 10 years ago for $200.00! A thousand seems pretty steep unless it is pristine and has a nice trailer.

I own several skis (12 at present), but the X2 is one that will never be sold! It is a lot of fun, and it has been very reliable. You have to learn how to ride it, and loading in deep water can be tricky. You can't sit on it and float as on a Sea-Doo, but it is a great little stand-up/sit-down machine.

Fuel "mileage" is good, uses much less than a large three seater. If you buy it, I would suggest you run pre-mixed fuel. It eliminates many problems.
