  1. close enough

  2. It´s the same language, but slangs make all the difference.

    I am from Panama (and living in Panama) and when a mexican talks to me i only understand like 85% of it.

  3. Same Spanish, but different dialect.

  4. It's close enough but Mexican word usage takes some getting used to, for example: they call a sidewalk, banqueta; a bus is camion; any alcoholic drink is called "vino"; the bus terminal is "central camionera";

    they tend to say: ensenarse instead of aprender. There is a strong influence of Mexican culture in Central America ( music, movies, telenovelas,etc).

  5. Well... Technically it is the same spanish, we are able to understand each other for sure... But sometimes words or phrases can be interpreted differently.  It depends.

    On the other hand, if you go into the indigenous parts of whatever country you are in (in Latin America) the language actually totally changes.

  6. Most latin american nations speak spanish. There are slight variations but it is all spanish. Just like the english spoken in the US, Great Britain, Australia and other nations has some differences, but it basically all the same language, english.

  7. every spanish speaking country has a different way of saying certain words, and they each have different dialect and slang. but it's pretty much the same. it's like america and brittain. both speak english, but there are some words in both countries that are different/

  8. The simple answer is Yes, the same spanish that's spoken in Mexico is the same as the Spanish in Central/South America.  However, there are also indigenous tribes in each country that are not related to the Spanish Language at all!  In addition, there are unique words and ways of speaking Spanish in all these countries.

    It is easier to think of it this way:  most people speak English in the United states, however there are many different ways of speaking and many accents.  Sometimes a person from the West Coast cannot understand another person from the South because of a difference in accents--and vise versa.

  9. mostly
