it would seem to me that if there was a complete guide on how to tear a country down from the inside, the left has covered almost every chapter in it.

  1. Definitely!

With the help of the Right, it is going a lot more efficiently than if the Left acted alone.  The U.S. is being destroyed at a phenomenal rate.

Red Team and Blue Team are on the job and getting it done, Bay-bee.

    Good points.  Good question.

  2. Yes.  Fair wages, constitutional law enforcement, diplomacy, and affordable health insurance are the greatest dangers this country has ever faced.

  3. I think Gerty has it right...not to mention our need to develop and distribute alternatives to oil--Doug A must think T Boone

Pickens is from the "left"...  Simplistic characterizations or stereotypes fail to appreciate that most people in this country are moderate and expect their leaders to lead (imagine that!). To use a football analogy, most Americans "play between the 30-yard lines" and desire mere competency.  The so-called Left and/or Right exptremists create gridlock and leave problems--challenges if you prefer, such as energy or affordable healthcare--unsolved.

  4. OOPS! The RIGHT beat them to it, but the left did help ya...ya'll should LOVE NANCI PELOSI....(parading around like she is a liberal LOL), she is one your BEST allies: refusal to impeach the bush crime family, voting for every request to fund the war, voting for the FISA abomination, supporting black ops in foreign countries....both the left and right corporate thugs are to blame.....YOU BOTH WANT TO MAINTAIN THE EMPIRE  at ANY cost, including  our society.

  5. YES

  6. God forbid we should take care of our citizens and make sure everyone, even poor people get quality health care or  decent education.  Is it the left who is taking away the personal freedom?  Is it the left who insisted on this war? It's the left who has been in office for the past 7 1/2 years? I think you are very, very confused.

EDIT: The dems voted on faulty "intelligence". Come one, you can do better than that.

  7. It depends on your point of view.

From their point of view, they are trying to make it better.  I really don't question that at all.

What I do question is their concept of "better", and their consideration of the "law of unintended consequences."

I personally agree with you, I think what they are doing and trying to do is destructive, and that's even assuming that their vision for America really IS "better".  I don't think what they are doing is going to get us where they think it will.

However... I don't think they are trying to destroy the country.  I think they are just gravely mistaken.

** T Boone Pickens . . . he may be correct, but let's not overlook the fact that what he's trying to persuade us to have our Congress do is fund and require "wind power", based on his assertion that this is our salvation.   He's heavily invested in it, and this suggests we should do our own research.

  8. The ideas of fair wages, child labor laws, safe food and drug labeling, clean air and water, workmen's compensation, vacation pay, employer paid medical plans, rural electrification, taxpayer funded roads, car safety standards, pensions, paid vacations, etc. ARE the exclusive domain of liberals.  The Republicans fought all of these things tooth and nail and in fact fought against every protection and benefit most Americans enjoy, because they were on the side of corporate profit.  Some Americans who have been sold a bill of goods by the right-wing noise machine enjoy all these benefits in their daily lives, yet then turn around and criticize liberals.  You all need to read some history, my friend.

  9. the far left is

Obama is part of the George Soros controlled ultra liberal wing of the DNC

" is it the left that insisted on this war"

Yes,  did you miss the fact that the majority of democrats voted to go to war in Iraq?

  10. Actually it is the right wing that has run amok.  John McCain wants to have an ammendment saying marriage is only between a man and a woman.  That is violating states rights.  And that does not matter if he or I or anyone believes it should be a National law. It just is not Constitionally sound.

He also said at the Saddleback Forum that he would not nominate Supreme Court Justices and named all of the ones currently serving except the far right wing.  Included the balanced Justices that are pretty middle of the road but have solid Constitutional backgrounds.

He also ridiculed a study of DNA in bears.  Lets just send all our biological scientists to other Countries. Since they do not have freedom of research to advance knowlege and understanding.  He has lost every principle he used to say he valued to cater the far right.

Including turning over the Supreme Court to extremist justices.  That affects all rights and liberites a balanced court that knows when to say no to Presidential Power is essential and we will not have one.

I am a fiscal conservative and have no facination with the bedrooms and bathrooms as a means of selecting who is best for the Country.  But when I grew up we had to understand what we protecting in the Constitution that was neither liberal nor conservative.
