  1. The pace of life appears a lot faster than our predecessors.

This doesn't necessarily mean that life was more easier before but it does mean that we pack more into our days than previously and take little time to genuinely relax.

We are always stimulating our minds in one way or another due to technological advances whether it be t.v., music, games consoles, computers or any other form of multimedia.

Family units are changing dynamics putting more pressure on us. The cost of living has dramatically risen meaning more people have to work, sometimes ridiculously long hours to make ends meet.

When not working there are other daily considerations to be taken into account such as keeping home, making sure bills are paid on time, insurances are in place and dedicating time to our families - especially our children's education - the pressures placed on them these days to perform was unthinkable years ago.

For some, the only real time they get to switch off is when they go to bed.

Life is way too busy in a never ending spiral to keep up with the rising costs and pressures of modern day life.

It would be nice to slow down a little and for all of us to enjoy the fruits of our labours whilst we are still young enough to have the opportunity.

I am sure life wasn't meant to be a continual slog until you are seen as too old to be of practical use and allowed to hang up your overalls.

  2. Yes. Way to fast. Especially for younger people. I can't remember what the term is for that generation but its like informed but meant in a derogatory way. Because of the Internet and new technology. kids are overexposed to information and images not all of it good. It has become more competitive, more work driven and more is expected from them. And there is the desire for big and better technologies and it has become a lot more materialistic. Everything is literally at their fingertips. Unfortunately our culture values money and celebrity over almost everything else. It has become completely capitalist. Commercials are everywhere telling you what you must have. You must have money and you must work for it and so the competitiveness the longer hours the lack of human rights.it takes 2 incomes to afford to live even a modest life. Kids are more spoiled out of guilt. There is no community and kids don't play on their streets anymore because they have so many extra curricular activities. People aren't important. Money is and corruption is rampant. It is drastically different from my generation (genX) I don't know how they will cope.

  3. Yessssss, very fast!

  4. fast as compared to the past couple of decades or so, then I would have to say yes. But look at the advance of technology. It makes many things more convenient and consequently easier. We are always looking for fast ways to do things, things that let us cut time cleaning, cooking, traveling, etc in half.

But it you look at it in the context of growing technology, every decade was fast than the previous. And in each decade I'm sure the people considered their life fast paced. But when comparing all of these decades together then yes ours is significantly faster paced.

  5. yes we as a people are always moving through life to fast before we know it were dead and didnt have time to enjoy the life we were living these days

  6. lives of todays generation is fast ..it is because doomsday is nearing...
