  1. No thats a PCI slot.

Kind of hard to tell in the picture but I believe the green one next to all 3 PCI slots is the PCI Express. PCI Express slots are never white (very rare that its white). (Most common are Black and some motherboard makes them different colors like orange and such to show the difference).  --Okay scratch that XD. So its AGP.

Motherboards don't have AGP and PCI-Express on the same board D:

  2. This looks like an older motherboard. Yeah, of course you are right about the green slot, it is a AGP video card slot. As you know the PCI E X16 is the newest video peripheral connect interface. It is an expanded PCI E. Video card slots are an either/or situation, you have either an AGP or an PCI E X16 video slot. A motherboard never has both because of the huge differences. In order to install two video cards you need two of the same type, so either two AGP or two PCI E X16.

That long PCI is a much older type of slot. It is seldom used these days, unless you have a much older expansion card to fit it, it will be useless to you these days. In fact, very small PCI E X1 slots are much newer and more versatile than the older long slot shown in your photo. I have three PCI E X1, three PCI E, and two PCI E X16 slots on my current Asus motherboard.

Sorry about you not having PCI E X16 capability on your board. You could always consider an upgraded motherboard if you really want to run the more current hardware, or you could buy a new PC with all built for you, as you would need to add new components in the new motherboard.

Good luck and have a nice day.

  3. No it is not...it's one of the legacy PCI slot.  Forgot the name...I believe it is the PCI-64 (PCI-X.)  Below is the detailed explanation.
