  1. no they aren't... they talk about a lot of stuff for people who are younger, but that doesn't mean they are teens. In their it also talks about college and things for people who are out of high school...

    I don't think its childish at all : )

  2. No, because even though Seventeen is mainly aimed toward teenagers, it doesn't mean people who are older are banned or deemed as "childish" for reading it.  And since you read Allure, which is truly the ultimate beauty magazine and what I consider the adult version of Seventeen, it's only appropriate you read a magazine very similar to it.

  3. No... if you look at the models in seventeen a good majority are at least twenty.

  4. no not at all.

the title doesn't mean you have to be under 17 to read it hah.

if anything i'd say older because of the s*x talk, etc.

  5. Honest answer...

Hate to be rude but I would think that anyone reading those magazines, at any age, is not too smart.

Sorry, but there are things in life that are a lot more important than hair and make up and "fifty ways to tell if he's really into you" and "s*x tips of the stars".   If someone decides that is the most imporant thing to put into their brain...well that sort of tells me there isn't a whole lot of brain there in the first place.

Now I"m not saying smart girls can't be pretty  or pretty girls can't be smart.......Erin Burnett http://www.cnbc.com/id/15838220  and Becky Quick http://www.cnbc.com/id/15837996 and Maria Batiromo http://www.cnbc.com/id/15838253 are proof of that.

And I know that an ungodly amount of effort and time go into looking that good...(I used to date a beauty queen at one point in my life).

And not everybody has to read Aristotle all the time. Sometimes I just like to read for fun or watch TV...but even then I can't stand the really stupid shows.

So I don't want to be a snob here...but if reading Cosmo is the best use someone has  for their Cerebral Cortex, well then, just me personally...I wouldn't be interested in them, no matter how pretty they were.
