in a way, yes. carrers involving communications can range from local newspaper writer to cinemma movie director. communications  just has to do with the public, which involves entertainment...sooo.....yeah. a communications degree would be really good for a movie producer.

it depends what emphasis the communication major has. such as broadcasting? critiquing? producing? marketing? education? press? u can do a lot of things with the career.
