  1. No, it's a two-cycle pump. First blood is pumped into the lungs for gas exchange and then it goes back into the heart before being pumped a second time to the rest of the body.


  2. no there are 4 chambers divided by a septum.. the blood goes through the heart 2 times in one circuit
