I believe the media is reporting so heavily on the state of the economy that it is actually fueling the decline. Here is an example. One headline on CNN last week stated, " 1 out of 10 families do not know where their next meal will come from". I have friends or acquaintances from a wide range of financial statuses. I have to say that I do not know one family who is that destitute. I AM NOT SAYING THEY AREN'T THERE! I am just dubious about CNN's statistics.
Do you believe that the media is partly to blame for the extreme decline? No doubt, fuel prices are an issue. However, fear mongering could also be at fault.
I guess what's good is that when things turn around, and they will (watch the GNP), the media will fuel that too.
What are your thoughts?
