Is the mercruiser Alphaone 260/v8 a good motor?

Does anyone know anything about this boat motor? What is it worth and what can it do? I do know it's pretty fast.

How would it go on out 1984 19' Baja?

Great engine, that's what is running on my father's boat, my boat, and our 30 footer has two of them.

Have fun.

That boat should top out above 50mph if she is in good running condition.

I'm a big Mercury fan and any Mercruiser is a good one in my opinion. I'd say it would be great on your Baja.
