  1. It would definitely have to be Socrates...

  2. Those teachers are from ancient times, not middle or dark ages.

  3. As has been pointed out the three men you cite are from the ancient world. However the one that had the most effective on the Medieval

World was Aristotle. His writings via the Arabs landed like a bombshell on the Latin West that is Europe. His ideas and philosophy was so

important that schools were set up to understand the logic of his

teachings. This led to the establishment of the first universities in history. Prior to the arrival of his writings the dominant explaination for all things was based on religion rather than science.

  4. Middle ages come wayyy later youre off by 1000 or so years...

but i would go with socrates

but then again, plato's republic was an awesome book

If youre dealing with the middle ages, reason and faith were not the dominent schools of thought, everyone was scared out of their wits by the church and for their immortal souls, it was a time of stagnation

thus the nickname the dark ages

  5. They didn't have much influence in the Middle Ages. The power of reasoning is basically non-existant during that period due to the Roman Catholic church burning scientists at the stake during that period (ex alchemists). Oh, and by the way, those figures belonged in ancient Greece.

  6. socrates definitly.  everyone knows who he is and what he did.  i have heard of plato and aristotle but i dont really know much of what they did...but im only in 8th grade.

  7. WOW to that question you will NEVER find an answer lol.

  8. I would say Socrates or Aristotle

Definately not Plato - he was basically a transition between the two

If I had to pick one I would say... Socrates

based on what i know, but its really closed between socrates and aristotle

  9. Middle Ages, Plato, Socrates, Aristotle?????

Those guys were Greeks born 1000 years BEFORE Medieval times.

  10. None of those people lived during the Middle Ages.  The Middle Ages are generally thought of from 1200 to 1600 AD and the people you mentioned lived at least a thousand years prior.  As far as Middle Age thinkers you can find several from Rouseau to Martin Luther and if you move forward a little you get people like John Locke.  (Yes I know JJ Abhrams Lost references yes all those auxilliary people were real and important thinkers)

  11. Actually those guys were from the golden age of Greece.  The middle ages came later.
