I would like to take my mother, father, and 17 year old sister to see this moulin rouge show in paris. I just want to know if there is any nudity because I do not think that is appropriate for my sister.

  1. I'm a mature 17 year old and I would not recommend it. I've seen topless women in movies before but it was very uncomfortable watching these scenes with my mom, dad, older sister, and/or younger brother. Many times in movies, topless scenes are not provocative like it would be at the Moulin Rouge. Not only that, but seeing nudity in the movies is completely different from seeing it in person so even some one who has seen topless women in the movies would not be prepared to see women's bare b*****s right in front of their face. The atmosphere is adult and is not usually appropriate for young people. The area is kind of seedy and can be dangerous for a young girl. In conclusion, I would not recommend it and agree with earlier answers that you should instead find something more classy and less expensive.

  2. I'm unfamiliar with the show, but I'd like to point out that she'd be able to see a movie with nudity in it, without anyone's permission.

  3. If you are in the habit of ogling bare breasted women with your mother and sister then I suppose there is no problem.

Here is the bottom line. The Moulin rouge is a tourist trap that is expensive and not much different from the average tacky Las Vegas show.

No doubt there are a world of people who think that Las Vegas is the height of sophistication and good taste and those same people will find the Moulin Rouge just wonderful. I suspect that they will even convince themselves that the obscenely high cost is a reflection of how "high class" the place is.

But then, as has often been said, "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence and good taste of the public."

So if you don't mind being played for a sucker then, by all means, go to the Moulin Rouge.

If, on the other hand, you would like to seperate yourself from the rubes and suckers then there are many excellant choices for evening entertainment in Paris.

Bel Canto offers an nice dinner accompanied by talented young Opera students who serve your meals and perform various famous pices from well known operas. No bare b*****s of course, just culture. http://www.lebelcanto.com/

Le Petit Journal Montparnasse offers dining and excellant Jazz Again, no naked women, just great music. http://www.petitjournal-montparnasse.com...

Au Lapin Agile, where Picasso used to hang out, offers an evening of old fashioned Paris caberet in Montmartre. http://www.au-lapin-agile.com/

Finally, Aux Trois Maillet at 56 rue Galand in the 5th arrondissment has a night club show right out of the 1950's with musicians and singers brought in from all over the world.

  4. Of course it's OK for a 17 year old. It's a tourist show, not a strip club! There is nudity, but b*****s only not full-frontal, and the show would not offend anyone. It's just entertainment.

  5. 17? she's fine! as long as shes mature. she'll be LEGAL soon!

  6. I think at 17 years old, she should be fine with nudity...

  7. She should be fine. Bare b*****s are the only form of nudity you'll find there.

The area surrounding the Moulin Rouge is indeed not the best in Paris. You can get there safely by taxi or bus. I personally would avoid the subway in that particular area. I also would avoid walking around the neighborhood at night. Being a major tourist area, be especially careful with pickpockets.

  8. No!Im 29 and I didn't go. The area is very seedy.

  9. Its completely appropriate for your sister, it is a beautiful show and is overwhelmingly tastefully done. the "worst" that is seen is topless women. definitely go, it is amazing and worth every penny.
