  1. Not based, inspired like the "Andromeda Strain."  That stuff never happened.  Did a few grizzly murders happen in Texas, yes.

  4. The movie was based on a real man named ed gaine, he did not chase people around with chainsaws but he did skin and eat alot of his victims.

    Like in the movie he was involved in a crazy childhood, his mother had always told him that women were the devil, and that she would be the only women in his life. Well, when she passed away he lost it.

    He started killing older women in there 50's skinngin them and walking around in there skin. He would also dig up older womens graves. Look him up on google.

    Movies like Physco and silence of the lambs were based on him also.
