Is the name Noah okay for a baby boy?

Question

I'm due in November and I'm having Boy and girl twins.

We've decided to call the girl Carmella Marie (as carmella is a family name)

And I want to call the boy Noah George (as George is my father's name) and I just really like Noah, but someone told me that Noah is too old-fashioned and my child will get bullied.

Will this happen?

Btw. The surname is Murphy

I love Noah. It's a wonderful man's name. And Carmella Marie is really nice. I don't think they will get bullied. And it's awesome that you are giving  your son your Father's name. Congrats and best of luck.

Noah is an awesome name!!   Love it.  Don't really care for Carmella.  Maybe you can call her Cami?

BTW.....it depends on the child - whether or not they get bullied.  You can have the most popular name and get bullied.

Noah is very popular  (#14 on the SSA most popular names list for 2007*) So I don't think he will get teased.

Noah is fine for a boy's name.  I named my son Tristan and people told me not to name him that because it was too girly and he would get teased.  Don't think about that.  Noah is a strong name and he will not get teased with all of the weird sounding names that we hear today.  Name your son Noah if that is what YOU are set on.  I don't know if you are Christian but remember the story of Noah's Arc.  Noah did a GREAT thing building that arc.  It's a great name.

Actually, Noah is quite the popular name right now, as Old Testament Biblical names are "in".  In fact, it's a Top 30 name!  Top 30 names don't get bullied, because they out-number everyone else!  :)

If you like Noah, then go for it.  Noah George sounds like a gret name.

I actually like the name Noah! And what's weird is my husband the other day said if we have another boy I like the name Noah! So I don't think it's a bad name and  I doubt if you went with that name he would get bullied. Good Luck and Congrats! I am a twin! I have a twin sister!  And I love the girl name!

Noah is an awesome name! I don't see it as old fashioned at all! It's actually one of my favorite boys names! I actually happen to really like classic and old fashioned names, anyway. I wouldn't even see it as an insult if someone said my baby's name was old fashioned. My kids names are Elijah (eli), and Adeline (addy).
