  1. Sarah is really common. Why not make that a middle name? Or try a name similar to it. Like tara

  2. Yes, they are very common, i really like Annabell or Lacey :)

  3. sarah is more common then emily,

pick emily i love it (:

  4. Sarah is quite common as well. But it's a very nice name and pretty too. Some people go far too overboard trying to be creative with babynames and end up naming their baby something that will scar them for life.  If you like the name Sarah, go for it because it's a lovely girl name that will not be made fun of.

  5. Emily has been the most used name in the country for six years and running. Sarah has been in the top 20 forever. They are both lovely names, but just know that your Sarah or Emily will NOT be the only one in her class.

  6. Emily and Sarah are both common but are classic. Those names seem to never get old. They are both great. Sarah Emily sounds good together, since you like both of them. You could spell it Sara, which seems to be less common.

  7. Doesn't matter as long as you like it. I think it's a lovely name.

  8. Both Emily and Sarah are common were I live.

  9. Both names are very pretty and classy, don´t shy away from naming your baby Sarah or Emily just because you think it`s too common! I think they are so much prettier than all those weird made up names. And if everyone else thinks those names are too common and don`t use those baby names that often your Emily or Sarah will stand out ;-)

  10. I really like the name Sarah.  I think it is simple and pretty.  I only know two Sarah's and they are teenagers.  I think you should use the name Sarah.  Hope I helped :)

  11. Yes the name sarah is common my neighbor has the name sarah

and my bff is named sarah

  12. No one is naming their child Sarah anymore. So, for the next generation, your baby girl will be just fine.

Emily is way too common, but they are pretty names!

May I suggest Dorothy, Grace, Christine, or Vera?

    Good Luck Deciding!

  13. sarah aint as common as it use to to be..at this particular moment i can only think of 2 sarahs and both would be in there 20's now.

  14. Sarah is kind of popular, but i would suggest Sarah more, cause Emily is much more popular, sarah is beautiful, i wish my name was sarah!

  15. Both names are common, but you can also change the spelling to be more unique. (That's what I'm doing with Emily) I always thought Sara looked nicer than adding the extra letter.  As long as it look like the original name, i think you'll be fine with whatever you chose.

  16. try to use Sarah Emily it's cute or try another to connect. for example  Inday Sarah, Sarah Nghya, Sarah Moshi, Darna Sarah, Feli Sarah, Sarah Maiser, Sarah Hamili

  17. Wierd you should ask, as my mom and I were just talking about this.  My name is Sarah and I have only known 3 Sarahs in my WHOLE LIFE - 4 if you count a Sara.  We "Sarahs" don't like to consider them :)

Sarah is definitely less common than Emily in terms of babies being named them.  Actually, Emily is #1 at the moment, and has been for a few years now.  Sarah is slowly moving down in popularity.  It was #12 in 2004 and and #18 in 2007.

Overall, I think Sarah is a much more classic name.  It's a pretty name no matter how popular it is.

  18. Sarah is more common than Emily. Trust me. Where I'm from there are 5 Sarah's out of 1 Emily. I would go with Emily Sarah. It's so cute.

  19. Well I know a baby named sarah. but change the spelling. Sarreah or a spelling like that and to answer on a scale of 1 to 5 i would vote 2 1/2

  20. I agree with Magali on the common use of Sarah. In the 80's and 90's that name exploded! There were 5 Sarah's in my sixth grade class and two Sarah's with the same last initial so they had to come up with nicknames. Now I never hear anyone name their child Jennifer, Sarah, or Brittany which were super popular in grade school. Your child might be safe.

  21. i'd say that emily is rather trendy right now. i believe it's been on the top of the list of most popular baby names for a few years now. sarah, i'd say is traditional, and not being overly used right now.

i love the name emily. in fact if my youngest had been a girl (which he wasn't), i would have named her amelie, the french version of emily. my train of thought for it was that my first best friend's name was emily, and my current best friend is a french teacher. so for me it paid homage to both of them.

  22. I don't think it's that common, because I've never met a Sarah before.  And if you still like the name Emily you could do Sarah Emily(or Emily Sarah).

  23. Sarah is on the top 10 list of baby names..I think it is a beautiful name and I like Emily too..both very old names. Sarah means Princess...Emily means to Excel.

  24. Good Bloody Lord Yes ... hahaha

I am a Sarah, but I am older now, so maybe it isnt as common.

Gotta say though, Sarah is a pretty awesome name :)

  25. It's common, but still a classic name. I'd go for it.

  26. it is very common where i live

But if you like either one pick em:)

    Both are cute btw:)

  27. I love Sarah. I don't think it is overly common at all anymore. I have never met one under 12. I think it would be refreshing.

  28. My name is Sarah, and I love it! When I have a daughter, I would have named her Sarah, but no can do, ahahah, There aren't TOO many Sarah's in my school. I know 4 others and my school is pretty big. I love my name and it's a classic. Not TOO common anymore and it's better than naming your child something trendy like Madison or Corey...

Emily is really pretty too :)

  29. Personally, I like both names, and I think you should choose what you like best, despite how common it may be. However, to answer your question about how common Sarah is: like the name Emily, it is in the top 10 list of most common names for baby girls in 2007.
