I like the name Dana, but two obstacles might come up:

1. it is a unisex name. I have known both male and female Dana's over the years.

2. It has variant pronunciations. I have known people who pronounce their name /dah-na/, /day-na/ and /daa-na/.

Other than that, the name itself is pretty classic.

It's definately not too plain! The first time I heard it was when the Bratz dolls came out lol. I like it! It's sweet and elegant!
