Is the name "Kiana" unpleasant?

Question

Yeah it's my name. I hate it alot. It make me feel self concious, like I'm ugly and stuff. I just don't think my name defines who I really am, and it holds me back. I was thinking since I'm going to a new school, should I go by something different? Should I go by Lexi (it branches off my middle name Alexis) or Ana? Or should just keep going by Kiana?

my niece has a very long first name so we call her Ana.

Whatever suits you best but personally i like your name.

IHow is that pronounced? I  dont like it personally if it's "Kee-anna" but "Ky-anna" is gorgeous.

I cba to go on the link but im sure youre not ugly- Everyone is beautiful in their own way.  

But go with whaTEVEr you feel suits you.  You own yourself so you have a right to name yourself

im 9months pregnant with a girl and since i found out i was pregnant ive always had Kiana in my head for a girl..but im sorta going off it a little and my other choice off name was Lexi..i realli dnt kno what to call her thou..xx

I think the name  Kiana is fine but if its making u uncomfortable and u don't think it describes you as a person then by all means go for Lexi.

I know how it feels to hate your name, so you have to do what is best for you. out of the 2, I say Alexis, but I think you are soooo pretty and Kiana is a beautiful name and it fits you!

It's a gorgeous name! It's stylish and hip sounding. And you're very pretty! You have amazing eyes. Go by Lexi if you want. Do whatever makes yourself feel comfortable. But remember that you're a beautiful person no matter what anyone says. (That sounded totally corny huh?)

I don't see anything wrong with the name, but if you don't like it take a nickname.  Do you see yourself as KiKi or maybe Ana (pronounced like Ahna- not Anna) .  I can see you going by Ana.  If you feel more comfortable with the middle name, go for it.  The good thing about girls is when we get married we can do a legal name change.  A friend of mine (I don't even know what her first name given to her at birth was) always went by her middle name.  When she got married she legally changed her first born name, to her middle name, and then took her husbands last name.  It made her feel so much better, like a completely new person.

I think it is a lovely name! It means "living with grace" - a beautiful meaning for a beautiful girl! Is it really your name that makes you self-conscious, or something someone said about it? I think that you should think seriously about it before you change your name - are you named after someone, does the name hold special meaning in your family, etc? If you are really positive that you don't want your name after at least a year, then I would talk to your parents/family about changing it. If you want a nickname, though, that's not a problem. I've certainly known several people (including my aunt!) who go by their middle names, not their first. So if you wanted to go by Lexi or Ana or something, I think that's fine - but keep Kiana as your legal name.

i personal like your name, but i dont have to "wear" it everyday. i like names no one else has, so you rname stands out. I have a name not many girls use....and i liked that fact when they said my name ppl knew who they were talking about. if you use alexis...............r u ready to have to explain which alexis u r? because there will be many. also ana..hummmmm being your so thin in your photo i am not sure you want ppl calling you ana.........they make tease you about ana AKA-------> eating disorder.

If you don't like your name then go ahead and change it. It is up to you. I like Lexi as a nickname.

But you are REALLY pretty and I think that Kiana is a really pretty name.
