Is the new RISK map version different than the current/original?

I have seen a new version of RISK this last week that touts a new map. I do own RISK already, but many pieces are missing. I would love to get this version, but if the map is different, it may be a turn-off.

I had a version of Risk for PS1 that had 4 different maps.  It was awesome.  It had the classic, Europe, Asia and an alternate version of the classic map with more territories.  You had to gain control of an entire country with the continent maps.  Anyways, it was so great it inspired me to create my own maps with the board game.  I think you should definately get the new map, and if you don't like it you could just use the original from the old game.
