I hate receiving fake things, and I hate sending them on, so I'm trying to figure out if it is for real or not.

  1. If you see anything that has "Send this to x of your friends/people/contacts" delete it, burn it, stomp on it and toss it out the window because it's not real, it's chain mail.

Chain mail is NEVER real. No organization would ever ask to send a message to 5 other people when they can send a mass message out themselves, or ask you for your password.

  2. If FB was shutting down there would be a message ON the website saying so, or e-mails sent out directly from the website. Plus, I doubt there's such a thing as overpopulation on a networking website.

  3. NO! Unless this is posted on the front page OFFICIALLY, it's completely fake. Why would he have regular users post this message for him. Furthermore, facebook want's AS MANY USERS AS POSSIBLE. The more users they have, the more money they make. They wouldn't be randomly deleting users.

This is about as real as those stupid 'if you don't post this 5 times, your family will explode' messages. Don't believe chain messages, and please DON'T REPOST THEM.

  4. its not true at all, if they were really overpopulated then they would send the message to us themselves, or put it on the front page, its probably just some kid who's bored & decides to put something like that on facebook just to see how far it goes, don't repost it, they have the exact same thing on myspace, only it says myspace except facebook

  5. No truth in this message no! I've seen it posted on walls ages ago, like in Jan 07, so if there was any truth in this spam it would certainly have happened by now!!

  6. No, although I can't say I know, that is not real.

First of all, his name is Mark Zuckerberg. There's a g on the end.

Second of all, Facebook has more than enough users. If Mark was losing money, there are many companies waiting by to buy Facebook.

  7. It is fake. They wouldn't use such a low-tech way to determine if users are active. If indeed Facebook was overpopulated, and they had to remove accounts, they would check your login times instead. It's much simpler and faster. Besides, look at all the grammatical errors in the message. If it really was Mark Zuckerberg, he would type correctly.
