I'm a mid handicapper and usually use a cavity back iron to help me get the ball in the air. Right now I'm using last year's r7 xd's and was wondering if the new r7 cgb max was the longest iron as far as distance that Taylor Made has? I can hit the xd's ok, but I'm looking for an iron set that I can get the 5 and 6 iron up in the air a little easier, and of course I'm looking to add a bit more distance. Can anyone give me some advice?

  1. instead of paying over $1000 spend a $50 bucks on a lesson from a local pro you will get much more benefit than buying new irons he will show how it hit it longer and straighter i bet buy the 10 th ball you hit with him you will be longer and straighter and higher .good luck (ex pga pro currently 2.4 handicap )
