Question:

Is the new school speed limit in California 15 mph?

I took my permit test today and I didn't get it because I missed 9. I was reading it over and came across a "wrong" answer question that asked what the speed limit in a school zone is. I marked 15mph because I had the knowledge it had gone down from 25 to 15mph this January. Is this really a new law?

  1. I go for the idea of 15 mph, but it all depends on the area the school is located it remains 25mph. We live near a school, and there has been no way in God's green earth to get some of these parents to slow down. I hope the day never comes that a child is hit by a car near our house.

  2. I have never heard of this.   Where did you read it?  As far as I'm aware it's still 25.

  3. yes and no the speed limit is still 25 unless its changed by

the jurdisction of the city of where the school is located

    (which cities can do )

so statewide is answer is 25 Mph
