  1. camcorders dont normally have that problem

id worry about the software being compatible, which, for a camera that new, i wouldn't worry about..

there are tons of software you could use to edit the video

    sony Vegas

    Adobe Prmiere pro cs3

    many others...

do some shopping for video editing software...youll be fine

  2. "Vista compatible" is not the issue. You just need current USB drivers that can be downloaded from Sony.com.

The bigger issue is if you are using older video editing applications. This camcorder records high definition and compresses it to AVCHD. Not all video editors can deal with AVCHD compressed video - and those that can may not necessarily be able to deal with all cameras. Windows MovieMaker cannot deal with AVCHD compressed video. Sony Vegas can deal with this camcorder's AVCHD compressed video.

If you only want to play-back the AVCHD encoded video, you may need to install a codec.

Since you have not provided any details (Version of Vista, video editing applications and versions, etc.), we cannot help you beyond this.

  3. It should be compatible...I have the HDR-SR5 (which the HDR-SR10 replaces) working fine with Windows Vista.
