Is the not so old models of mitsubishi lancer fuel effecient compared to others?

i really like to know if it suits for me as a student driver? or is there any car that suits a student driver here in philippines? thanks for your answers in advance..

The Mitsubishi Lancers are fuel efficient. But it's all relative. Depending on where you live in the Philippines, traffic is the main culprit in fuel waste. Typically, smaller engines use lesser fuel. But let it not be your bible since some small engines from Suzuki are not that fuel efficient. The GLX Lancer is a good one. The GLXi is also worth considering. The base GL has the smaller engine so of all three the base is your better choice. You have to remember though that it's a base model. Meaning, it has lesser convenient and comfort amenities like power windows, power side view mirrors and sometimes, no air. With the heat and smog over there, you've got to have at least the air. The Civics and the Corollas are also very fuel efficient. Good Luck!
