Is the nuvaring affected by alcohol?

i absolutely love being on the ring but i tend to drink every few weeks at parties. will alcohol affect the effectiveness of my ring? btw for those thinking i act irresponsible, i dont plan to have s*x till about dec. when i see my fiancee and we havent had s*x since may.

alcohol does not change the effectiveness of the ring. So you can have a few and not worry about it.

Luckily, there is no link between alcohol and estrogen, or between alcohol and ovulation... so you are just fine! The only thing to worry about is taking it out while you're drunk and forgetting to put it back in.
