Is the olympics going to be good for Vancouver BC?

Coming here in 2010 and house prices, food, insurance, cost of living in general is rising.

  1. Yes and NO,   real good for tourism, put Vancouver in the forefront with TV coverage etc....  However the social cost will be terrible.  Displaced citizens to make room for venues and olympians and tourists, large debt for the city, regardless of how good the planning is and I could go on.


  2. thats a good question. i dont think so i the long run. we have a LOT to clean up first. people dont want to see all the drugs, garbage, dirty awnings,and homeless. and in cleaning up the DT eastside they just sent those people to all the outlying areas. also  its going to cost us a lot more, all we have to do is look at past olympics spending. and i am sure the politicians will try to hide where mony went , some scandal allways shows its ugly face.......anyways we have a homeless issue here where elderly people are not able to pay their rent and are ending up in shelters in the downtown eastside.  our shelters are allways full and teh foodbanks are bare. sorry but i can pass on the olympics
