CFCs are catalysts, but forming ozone from oxygen is a continual process, so the amount of the catalyst decomposing ozone matters.

Why is the ozone layer recovering though, as CFC´s are pretty much catalysts, right?

Yes, CFCs are the main cause.  CFCs are found in refrigerators, air conditioners, fungicides, and some industrial chemicals.  These turn ozone into oxygen, thus thinning the layer.  We have seen an increase in skin cancer coorelating with ozone depletion.
