Is the padding under the carpet recycleable?

Question

We replaced the carpet with flooring. We tore out the carpet and we have tons of floor padding in the garage. I need to know since its a foam. Is it recycleable? Do I put it in the recycling bin or do I trash it?

Anyone have any sites that state your answer to be true or false..thank you in advance!

no it isnt and it takes years to break down bliddy stuff. i had a load i used to make paths in between my veg beds, i'm still picking bits out of the soil 10 years later  :-(
