  1. Hello,

I am french and lived in Paris for a short time. Unfortunately, the metro is not accessabile to wheelchair users.

    The same for the coaches.

You can take just taxis. I am sorry, sometimes it is a shame to be french!

  2. I agree with him, unfortunately, it's very difficult to move in Paris with a wheelchairs.

Recently there is a little amelioration....very little.

You can go in some buses and in some metro stations.

Here is the link to the Parisian Transport Company which indicates where you can go : http://www.ratp.fr/

Or you can find also special taxis :

  3. I have just written a page about wheelchair access in Paris, with lots of info for people with wheelchairs

    http://www.a-night-in-paris.com/paris-fr...

"More and more metro and RER stations are equipped to provide improved access to people with disabilities (spacious lifts, ramps…). Numerous bus routes are fitted with lower floors and retractable ramps. A detailed plan showing all accessible stations and routes is available from RATP ticket offices."

There is a little wheelchair symbol, click this to go to http://www.ratp.info/informer/accessibil...

The main railway website is http://www.ratp.fr/ - for English, click 'International Passengers' in the top menu.

    Another link is:

    Hope this helps.
