I don't have much employment experience, that's y i questioning this....

Because I feel like doing so is giving out the information of my previous company....more or less ,if my possible future employer reject me after I giving them those information, make me feel like being cheated.

  1. Your employer would know everything that is on your check.  There are no secrets there about your previous employer.

That being said, I have never heard of an employer wanting to see check stubs from a previous job.  That's odd.

  2. I agree - it is very odd.  Did you ask them why they want to see it?  The only thing I can think of is that is their way of verifying employment but really, all they have to do is call where you used to work to verify it.

  3. I have never heard of that in my life...! What did they want proof of your previous pay? That's not right....and I don't think thats even allowed.

  4. It should be confidential, unless you give out the information freely.

Potential employers should not be asking to see previous payslips - at least not in North America.  I'm not sure about anywhere else in the world where employment practices are more dubious.

If they don't ask for it, don't offer to show it.  It has nothing to do with your abilities for the current job.  If they need proof that you have previous experience, get a reference letter or a reference name that they can call.
