OK this is starting to worry me. I keep researching on the net about " Nibiru " and they all say the same.

The planet does it's orbit every 3600 years and when it is near closest to us it will be the same size as our moon.

The gravitational effect will cause a tilt of the polar axis causing a new ice age and huge tsunamis.

Is this for real?

The Governments aren't saying anything to us as there would be a global crash now.

If someone can link me to tell me this is some sort of internet hoax I would be truly grateful.

  1. It is our job to tell the truth, not make people feel good. (And by the way, "mass hysteria" is largely a product of Hollywood, not a description of the way people respond to a real crisis). In any case, it is impossible to keep astronomical events secret. Hundreds of thousands of professional and amateur observers could see what was coming, and they would not keep quiet. Incidentally, that is part of what makes all this Nibiru nonsense so absurd, the idea that there could be a major astronomical object out there but it is invisible or kept a secret by astronomers. What a laugh!

  2. http://www.universetoday.com/2008/05/19/... ..... ok see this read it it made me feel better after you scared me too huhhhhhh

  3. yea because everything from youtube is true

  4. Its true I'm afraid. How do I know?

Well Fox Mulder came knocking on my door last night, no word of a lie, and told me it all. And the smoking man came later and he confirmed everything, and also George Bush is my mate so he told me aswell.

  5. a cruel and cynical hoax. you should be ashamed of yourself for believing any of it. among other things, if nibiru was going to be in our vicinity in 2012, it would be a naked-eye object now, extensively studied and photographed. where is it?

do you really plan your life around youtube videos?

  6. that is not possible. the planet would have to be like an asteroid hurling towards earth. and the earth is due for a polar shift in 2012. so dont worry. its just a hoax

  7. If Nibiru is as described, then i should be able to see it with my back yard telescope.  There are over a million amateur astronomers, and several sensitive sky surveys.  Nibiru would have shown up.  It hasn't.

In 2013, the year 2012 will be known as the year the world didn't end.  It will not be an unusual year in that regard.  Predictions of the end of the world have come and gone with absurd regularity.

Here's a prediction of the end of the world that will happen: The world will eventually end.  I'd like to be around when it does - since i expect it will take billions of years.  Better yet, i'd like to witness it from a safe distance.

  8. Dont believe a word of that stuff. Good script for Hollywood expect to see the film soon.

  9. Go to your local library.  Look up Nibiru in every encyclopedia.  No listings?  I wonder why.

Go look in the astronomy section.  Check the index in every astronomy text.  Any listings?  No?  I wonder why.

Ask you reference librarian to run a journal search.  Most public libraries have access to databases listing articles in thousands of magazines.  No listings for Nibiru?  In THOUSANDS OF JOURNALS?  I wonder why.

Turn on your TV.  Is anyone talking about the end of the world in 4 years.  Wouldn't the end of the world make the news?  No mention?  I wonder why.

Now do the math.  Your middle school friends, some websites (keeping in mind that ANYONE can create a website, and some Utube material versus encyclopedias, astronomy books, thousands of journals, the news bureaus of every nation in the world and the fact banks are still making 30 year mortgage loans.  Thing real hard about your answer.

  10. It's all a load of nonsense.

Think about it - if this mythical planet was real, it would have caused havoc when it last came 3600 years ago. The Earth has been in a steady orbit for far longer than that, so if there was something which could cause havoc on the inner solar system, none of us would be here now.

I'm really getting bored of this whole Nibiru thing, this must be the 1000000th question on here about it.

  11. No!  No!  No!  There is no Niburu/Planet X.  I keep answering this because I think these ridiculous videos made up of shots from disaster movies are scaring the kids who watch them on YouTube.  It is not going to happen.  Some of these people may really believe the garbage they are shoveling.  Others are doing it just to sell books.  Don't fall for it.

Niburu (Planet X) doesn't exist. Zecharia Sitchin is an author of books promoting the ancient astronaut theory for human origins. He attributes the creation of the ancient Sumerian culture to the Annunaki (or Nephilim) from a hypothetical planet named Nibiru. The Doomsayers predicted that it was to hit Earth in 2003. When it didn't show up, they just moved it out to 2012 to coincide with the end of the Mayan calendar.

The Mayan Calendar - Their calendar was done in ages or cycles and their years ended at the winter solstice.  The current cycle ends December 21, 2012.  They didn’t predict the end of the world, it was only the end of that cycle.  Their civilization died out several hundred years before the end of the cycle, so no new cycle was added.

Just try looking up some reliable scientific sites, instead of pseudoscience blogs.  You really should go to Phil Plait's Bad Astronomy site and read the whole thing.

    "The IRAS Incident

Many people, including Mr. Hazlewood, claim that NASA actually sighted Planet X in 1983, and it was reported in the Washington Post! The article claims that two scientists named Neugebauer and Houck used the Infrared Astronomy Satellite (called IRAS) and found a Jupiter-sized object a few billion kilometers out from the Sun.

This turns out not to be the case. Rather than rely on the accuracy of a newspaper article (and you can find out how accurate those are elsewhere on this site) I did something that never occurred to the doomsayers: I sent an email to the two astronomers asking what happened back in '83. Gerry Neugebauer replied, and told me the real p**p.

IRAS was designed to look in the far-infrared, well past what our eyes see. At the time, no one was really sure what it would find. To everyone's surprise, several bright point sources were found that did not correspond to anything seen on optical images taken of the same areas. In the press conference, the two scientists said that these objects could be almost anything, from a tenth planet in our solar system to distant galaxies.

Guess which it turned out to be? Sure enough, much deeper images were taken, and some of the objects were found to be dense gas clouds in our own Galaxy, while others turned out to be very distant galaxies. In fact, these observations heralded the discovery of a new type of object: Ultra-luminous Infrared Galaxies (ULIRGs). These are galaxies in which there is a burst of stars being born. The cocoons of dust in which the stars are enshrouded generates copious infrared, which is what was detected by IRAS. They published these results in the prestigious Astrophysical Journal, and you can even read it yourself.

So IRAS did not see Nibiru, Planet X, or anything of the sort, despite the claims of the doomcriers. Of course, they now claim that NASA is clamping down on the press for Planet X. The original Post article, they say, was hastily retracted due to pressure from the NASA thugs. Of course, the doomcriers have absolutely no evidence of this (because, of course, this claim is wrong), but they continue to state it as if it is fact. It is nothing of the sort. They like to make claims like this for many reasons: it generates an "us vs. them" mentality, which is great for conspiracies, and it helps sell books and/or videos. But it's wrong at best and a lie at worst."

  12. Just Wormwood.

Unless that is what is meant when the Bible talks of Satan being cast down... perhaps...

Would help to explain these ancient Sumerian artifacts:

  13. Yep, it's true. Everything on Youtube is true.

  14. I don't know anything about Niburu, but seeing your post shot up a red flag for me. My friend told me the other day about the Mayan calendar. The Mayan calendar predicts that the end of the world will be in 2012. I remember he said that and I went ahead and dismissed it as BS. Now, it suddenly seems much more realistic and frightening.

    Check out the link before.

Uh oh. Time to start living like the world will end in 4 years.
