Is the price for these jet skis/trailer reasonable?

My husband and I are thinking about getting jet skis and I found a listing on www.craigslist.com. I e-mailed the seller for more information and pictures, and this is the response I got back:

"I have never had to replace a thing on these skis. Like i said in my ad, the choke k**b is missing on the one ski but it doesnt affect its functioning at all so i never bothered to replace it. I did source the part and it came out to be 12 dollars or so if you really wanted to replace the part. Other than that everything is in perfect working order. The trailer is fully tagged and I believe everything was just renewed with PA DOT and the Fish and Boat Commision. As far as price I am negotiable to an extent. Please feel free to call me at 717-309-1146 if you have any other questions or would like to come check out the ski's for yourself."

The asking price for the skis (2) trailer and accessories is $4,500. Links to the pictures will be added shortly. What do you think about the price etc?

I would definitely shop around first...Also, try seeing it in person if possible...However, I think the price is a little steep.  I found this site useful in the past when shopping for accessories: http://www.usedwatercraft.info.  Hope this helps...

for 1) 13 yo and 1) 14yo with trailer i don't think its a great deal. it can be an inexpensive way to get on the water, but don't plan on them going real fast. the advantage is being able to buy 2 and get a dbl trailer. most used ones are singles with single trailers.

That might be a bit much. Maybe go about $3800 and that would be a good deal. Those skiis should run about 45 mph. The main thing would just check them out well when you pick them up. Start them rev them up, hear them idel. They can run for a short time on the trailer. Then look at the motor, does it look messed with, loose or missing bolts.
