Yeah, I know the Prius is classified as a family car. I know it can seat five people and their stuff. But does anyone actually use a prius for what is intended to do? EVERY single family I know that owns a prius has some sort of larger car that they take on longer trips, and ALMOST EVERY TIME I see a Prius on the highway there is only one person in it. Arn't they allowed to drive in the HOV lane alone? It really makes me sick. The Prius is a big car, much bigger then one person with a briefcase needs. Wouldn't a yaris sized car with a hybrid system make more sense? Also, do the priuses strange looks justify it's aerodynamics? I read somewhere that a bmw 5 series is more aerodynamic then the prius.

  1. It is true. I always see only one person in it.

They designed it that way because of the hybrid batteries. It is easier to fit the batteries if they make the car in that shape.

The Honda Insight Hybrid-The most fuel efficient car at 66mpg highway. The Honda Insight is also shaped like that and Honda is making a new Hybrid that is shaped like the Prius.

  2. You're thinking about it too much. It's a good car, and it gets better fuel mileage than both of my motorcycles. Most car trips in the United States are taken by one person. The next generation if the spy photos are true is very good looking. I don't think the current one is so bad.

  3. because with 5 adults in it, it won't move.

you miss spelled the cars name its PIUS, because that what you hybrid owners are.
