I understand about the high gas prices and things getting more expensive in the supermarket. But does it really stop people from doing what they normally do?

My fiance is a chef in a restaurant in soho NYC and it seems the restaurant is always full. I've asked him if he has seen a decline in guests counts and he doesn't. this is a small restaurant and they are constantly having 150 to 200 people a friday and saturday night. Which is alot for a small restaurant.

thanks for any answers.

  1. My peers from Wall St. still have to eat. You won't see too much of a slow down in NYC. Louis Vuitton will still be selling purses today and tomorrow.

The people who feel it the most live in manufacturing/blue collar type cities such as Detroit. They make the least to begin with and they will make even less now.

  2. Well it depends, wealthy people can't feel the hard hit, the folks working from check to check feel it everyday

  3. It's like this...when somebody wins, somebody loses and vise versa
