  1. no its just a programe....soime virus scanners have been told by there makers to treet them as a virus simply to stop us downloading....same goes for any cracks/key gens,it also pics them up as viruses but they arnt.

  2. BitTorent isn't a program, but a protocol meant to share large files across different hosts. This makes it possible to share the traffic among a lot of computers. Of course this works only if people share the files they download.

Large Linux distributions are often made available by BitTorent.

You don't download the actual data, but a textfile describing the data and where to find it. If you start dowbloading, you start sharing the amount of data that you've downloaded.

So BitTorent isn't a Virus at all. But that doesn't mean that the files you download can't be infected!! If you download cracked files, serial generators, patches etc. They can, and will very often, be infected with virusses. If you download anything from the internet, it's always wise to check it with a good, recently updated virusscanner.

But once again BitTorent itself isn't a Virus

  3. viruses are put on by torrent protesters, they used to be very fast downloading as well

  4. The BitTorrent protocol is a peer-to-peer file sharing protocol used to distribute large amounts of data. Programmer Bram Cohen designed the protocol in April 2001 and released a first implementation on 2 July 2001.

Besides keeping your anti-virus and operating system updates running, there are several things you can do in order to keep yourself safe on line.

    1. Be careful what type of sites you visit. There are many unscrupulous websites out there that will readily infect your machine with a virus or adware.

    2. Instead of downloading music, go to the store and buy the CD or buy the MP3’s from legit sites. Not only will you avoid any financially difficult legal situation, you'll also avoid any website that promises free MP3 downloads but only delivers viruses and adware.

    3. Instead of looking for software cracks or serials online, look for coupons. The "crackz" scene is filled to the brim with malicious websites. You're not safe when you're visiting these "seedier" websites.

    4. Do not run in Administrator mode. You should only run in Administrator mode when you're installing hardware or software, but running in a lower security mode you'll avoid a lot of the more invasive attacks.

  5. the simple way to say it is No but people post many viruses and keyloggers to limewire and BitTorent and you have a high chance of downloading a virus made to look like a song or a movie and they are impossible to spot. If you want to download Copyrighted Content I would recommend using iTunes or Amazon as Record Company's are making new plans and have started suing some Users who download a lot.

Also now you can get iTunes cards in all kinds of stores so you don't need a Credit Card

  6. BitTorrent is not a virus.  How ever many p2p files shared can have viruses embedded in them.  Always check comments and virus scan EVERYTHING!!! (right click and choose scan with anti-virus)

  7. don't be ridiculous.

Youtube people are people who are screaming for attention because their lives suck.
