  1. As far as I am aware cooking meat does not denature the protein, unless your leaving it in a microwave for hours at a time.

  2. no it doesnt destroy the protein.

    Foods with good protiens:

    peanut butter

    tuna

    chicken

    red meats

some people need help digesting all the extra protein if you eat alot, so you can get a digestive enzyme called protase and it wil help if you have trouble.

  3. no cooked chicken has lots of protein. try it in curries etc

  4. Digestion will breakdown proteins into amino acids which you the absorn into your bloodstream.  Cooking won't destroy amino acids, but will denature the protein. But this will happen as you digest it anyway!

  5. When you eat any proteins the acids in your stomach break them done into the constituent amino acids which are then absorbed to be rebuilt into other "human" proteins. Denaturing them just causes a structural re-organisation of the protein-the amino acids are still there. So yes you are still getting the amino acids you need.

edit-cooking actually assists the breakdown of the proteins

  6. cottage cheese is also an excellent source of protein and all your beans, as well
