Obviously Russia is still against the idea of freedom! For those of you that will say somehow that Georgia started this, Russia moved 2 Divisions into Georgia! It takes months to prepare a mobilization of this magnitude! This was not a reaction, they've been planning this for a while.

  1. NO, They (Evil Empire) have to leave the White House in January!

  2. Your right Putin is trying.

  3. Yep.

  4. duh, the russian never left the world seen. During the 90's they were ran by western thinker in Yeltsin. Yeltsin's goal was to make Russia to more like Europe, and less like old Russia. However, when Putin was elected into office, he went against Yeltsin's ideas of making Russia into more of European Nation. He started to make Russia back into the USSR. His goal is to bring back the old Russian States that broke free during the USSR, and reform the USSR back to its glory with a strong central government backed by the world's most powerful army. He will stop at nothing to ensure that USSR will return to a power as equal are even stronger then the US and China.

  5. They have been on the border since the WAR games led by Israeli and American commandos...Remember Condi Rice visited Georgia near the end of that "training. The Israelis have been selling Georgia a lot of weapons and the Commander of the Georgian army has a dual Georgian/Israeli Passport. Yeah, another one of those.

The South Ossetians have been self-ruled since 1992 and have been trying to get recognised by the UN since then. The US has been blocking it. Most of the South Ossetians have Russian passports and their relatives in North Ossetia are 100% Russian. There are very few Georgians living in So. Ossetia.

The Russians have been protecting them for years with a UN sanctioned peacekeeping group. Russians also has divisions on the Ukraine border for the same reason. Read all about it!

  6. makes ya wonder if Iraq thinks the US is against them having freedom?

  7. "Evil Empire" what are you talking about ? they have never left--- anything. what you are referring to is just a more public display of power. concentrated power IS EVIL. how do we use our power? to suppress the Iraqi how does china, by suppressing the Tibetans the Russians suppress the Georgians the Turks suppress the Kurdish and on we go across the whole world. evil will never let go it just changes hands from time to time. and it will share the spotlight if it must. tmm

  8. Russia is anything but evil and against democracy, given that they are a democratic nation, unlike their former incarnation the USSR.

Russia had a moral obligation to rescue the hundreds of civilians with Russian Passports and Russian Peacekeepers, in South Ossetetia.

To me this is a no brainer.  Heck it's not like Georgia was a beacon of Democracy anyway.  The Bush admin has been criticizing Georgia for not acting democratic for years.

  9. If Georgia wants to be a Russian state like the media is saying, then so be it. Why shouldn't the majority rule in a situation like this? It's not like the people in Georgia have never been a Russian state. BUT Russia shouldn't have invaded, they should have supported a civil war, like the US always does.

  10. No, I don't think so. Something funny is in the works, but we're not witnessing a resurgence of the old Soviet Union, per se. Rather, we're seeing a pact between Asian powers on economic and military issues developing. It's called the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The Organization's members constitute significant economic power, and make up 25% of the Earth's land. I would say this is worse news for us-- but it's not really an empire, but more of an economic power house with a lot of military power-- sorta like an Asian NATO/NAFTA. Georgia is an economic and geopolitical interest to Russia, and thus the pact.  I'd check the below source if you're interested.

  11. yes it is russia has huge control over the worlds oil supply they are drilling in the poles and every where else. they are attacking georgia to gain control of an oil pipe line and get rid of any other oil suppliers

  12. well, first off, it's basically a civil war... that Russia has picked a side on...

but it does seem that Russia was aware of the possible move by Georgia into SO... and they were more than ready...

not sure if I would say planning, but very aware and willing to take advantage of the situation...

evil empire may be a little strong... nose where it doesn't belong... maybe...
