  1. Yes but it's PayPer View. Boo!

  2. it's on HBO pay-per-view and it costs $24.95 for most, $34.95 for HD.  they have a replay right afterwards.  all in all, the coverage runs approximately 6 hours according to the directv schedule - a little over $4/hour for what i hear is some great entertainment (and from what i saw last year).

and the reason it is on pay-per-view is that it is a fundraiser - all proceeds are donated to the victory junction gang and a couple other charities.  most of the drivers and people working the race, including commentators and i'm guessing some cameramen volunteer their time.

i too waited the few weeks last year, but speed only had a couple hours of coverage, as i remember it.  plus, what's $25 to see some really cool slidin', beatin', bangin' and rubbin' on a dirt track - sounds much more exciting than the fontana race that i paid $55 for a cheap seat.

and, as a bonus, i heard carl edwards on the "pre-race teaser" saying that he hopes kyle busch doesn't start on the pole or it could get ugly - a little payback planned maybe?  or was carl afraid rowdy's going to run away with it?

i'm excited this year to see it.

    jmo.

  3. It will be live tonight on HBO Pay-Per-View, with a replay airing right after it.  Later this summer, it will be re-aired on Speed.

  4. it'll cost ya 25 bucks to see it tonight.  I can personally wait for a few weeks to see it on speed.  It's worth watching though.

  5. Only an hour away! Looking forward to it. They are doing some live webcast things on NASCAR.com right now, too.

  6. only on HBO tonight. there will be reruns in a few weeks on speed channel

  7. It is supposed to be Pay-per-View.  They say you can go to HBO.com to get the informaiton.

  8. I can't believe this. They're making all this big fuss and c**p about this Prelude thing, and what? it's on pay-per-view? g*y! Gee, Tony, maybe you should afford some actual cameramen so that it wil be on, like, FOX or SPEED or ABC. That way the average rating for watching it won't be 2% of all NASCAR fans.
