  1. Inca pretty much nailed it.  Our politics, morality, science, etc. all evolved out of greek thought (through the rennessaince/modern period) so our culture maintains a strong intellectual tie to that epoch.  But we've rejected most of that over the past century, lol (cry).


  2. Lyndon B. did say a lot more, its just an opnion. I dont agree, a child does have two parents, who is the other one? Greece did matter a lot, but a lot of other great influences did form the Western World. think of the Northern people, the african and asian culture, arabian wishdom (algebra, medicine)

  3. At one time the western world may possibly have been a child of greece.  However, that child has grown into a selfish, uncaring, greedy, mass murdering religious bigot.  Look elsewhere for your knowledge than the mass media, then you'll learn what's really happening on this planet: what we are becoming!
