  1. No, you physical address or MAC address is located on you NIC or network interface card and consists of letters and numbers. Your encryption key is only 10 numbers long and can be whatever you choose. You have to put this key in to be able to access the network.

  3. No. the physical address in also know as the MAC address which is hardwired into a network card from the manufacturer.  The encryption key is the key to your network, so when you may have a guest with a laptop, they would be able to connect to your router thus enabling them to surf the web.
