She represents everyone the democrats think should be on welfare?

She is married, 5 kids, one with down syndrome, unmarried pregnant daughter, yet she is a highly successful person. Tell me they don't feel threatened by her.

  1. Yes. She connects directly to more issues than Obama and Hillary could do combined. By the way, Adam B, you imply BP is the enemy and conveniently disregard Palin's husband is a union worker - not the owner of BP. Lame.

  2. No she threats those who have students serious about the sciences ant our education system.  We are slipping behind in science while she blithely and obviously does not seem to take global warming seriously and is into intelligent design.

I know people in her position who are successful Democrats.  They value science, academic freedom and are a bit tired of a minority of the public foisting off their beliefs on the the majority.

You bet I am threatened by having a person with 1 or two years in business, mayor of a small town and with views outside the mainstream as a leader.   I frankly think McCain is losing it as far as being in the real world is concerned.

And as my husband says as a pediatrician having a baby with downs syndrome and having a 20 year old with Downs Syndrome are totally different experiences. Depending on the severity, the state or a private institution may be required for most of their adult life.  They may outlive their parents.  Then they become some of the very people that need public assistance from the taxpayer.  Only it is much more expensive than well fare.  They also can be prey to sexual abuse.

I am more concerned about her 17 year old pregnant daughter that is not married.  What guarantee do we have the a 17 year old with no skills and a baby will not end up on the well fare rolls?

  3. I don't think people are threatened by her. As for me, I could care less about Sarah Palin, except she offends me with her politics. I can say personally that the person that offends me is John McCain and how he has obviously used this woman in politics, and how Sarah was willing to accept this degrading task.

She called on to the 18 million Hillary Supporters who were disappointed to switch sides to her side, someone who is nothing like Hillary, politically speaking. Obviously this is a McCain ploy, and McCain obviously believes that women are stupid and won't consider her politics. So, basically the reason I'm more critical of Sarah Palin is because I'm mad at McCain and I don't respect her decision to become a tool.

I also understand there are some people who do agree with Sarah Palins politics, but I'm speaking as someone who doesn't.

  4. Is that what you call success? you got it all wrong we pitty her

  5. Oh they're definitely threatened by her. Otherwise YA wouldn't be flooded with smear attempts about her.

  6. What kind of example is Palin setting for her daughter? Why is her daughter a ****!

  7. Good point. Great question.

  8. I feel threatened because she could be a heartbeat away from the presidency and is totally anti-woman. She threatens the health and reproductive rights of our daughters and granddaughters for a generation. And that is terrifying!!!

  9. Um, we're not afraid of her.  We think she's a cynical, foolish choice for VP.  Most of the Democrats I know are happy that McCain chose Palin - it reflects what a slave he has become to the radical right wing.

And as for your little story: her husband works for BP, which her state's government has helped with environmental giveaways.  So the story is the same old Republican corruption machine - not exactly something to be proud of.  And her unwed teenage daughter will receive excellent health care because of who mommy and daddy are.  But Palin also opposes s*x education for all of the poor kids out there whose lives would be ruined by a teenage birth.

  10. What's your point???

I am a liberal and I'm successful. I am not the slightest bit afraid of Palin.  Any female with working ovaries can get pregnant. No brains required. She didn't purposely concieve a child with Down Syndrome. Why are you bragging about that?

Am I understanding you to say she should be a power to be reckoned with because her unmarried 15 year old daughter is pregnant?

  11. They arent threatened, they just deny that she managed a TOTAL turnaround in Alaska, and nearly the whole state supporte her.

  12. LOL! Nice try. Most of the people in welfare are single mothers. THAT is what Palin's daughter would be if her mother would kick her out. Many parents kick their pregnant teens out of the home...

  13. Now that it has been reported that she has a pregnant teen daughter, nobody feels threatened any longer.  It's over.

She also might only have four kids, one granddaughter with Down's and another on the way (although hopefully not with Down's).
