  1. No they wash off to keep their muscles warm. The air temperature in the Cube is something like 12 degrees below the temp of the water, and when they get out of the water that change in temperature can affect the muscles

  2. Now, that is the first intelligent question that I've seen on here.  Thank you for some sanity in an insane world.

  3. Your missing the all important "spit" factor. Pee and spit my friend.

  4. Its only to keep their body tempt the same as the water.

  5. Actually, it's for tv ratings.  Where else can you see underage girls from around the world showering together?  Why do you think NBC can charge $750,000 for a thirty second commercial?  People are tuning in for the shower scenes.  NBC will rue the day when diving is over.

  6. The divers do this to keep themselves warm and to keep their muscles from getting cramped up between dives. A muscle cramp at the wrong moment can do more than just affect performance- it can cause a diver to drown because he or she can't swim when they hit the water. . Someone peeing in the water has nothing to do with this.
